Abstract

BACKGROUND

Craniopharyngioma is a rare fetal and neonatal tumor.

CASE REPORT

We report a case of a congenital craniopharyngioma diagnosed by prenatal magnetic resonance. This diagnosis was confirmed by postnatal MR imaging, neurosurgical treatment and histopathological examination.

CONCLUSIONS

Outcome of neonatal craniopharyngioma is very poor, even if radical surgery is performed. The main problems are pituitary insufficiency, diabetes insipidus, and visual disturbance.

背景

颅咽管瘤是一种罕见的胎儿及新生儿肿瘤。

病例报告

我们报告一例经产前磁共振诊断的先天性颅咽管瘤病例。该诊断经产后磁共振成像、神经外科治疗及组织病理学检查得以证实。

结论

即使进行根治性手术,新生儿颅咽管瘤的预后仍非常差。主要问题是垂体功能不全、尿崩症及视觉障碍。
