To identify the serotype of 73 non-polio enterovirus (NPEV) strains from acute flaccid paralysis (AFP) cases in Ningxia province, during 1997 - 2011.
Partial sequencing of the VP1 region was amplified by RT-PCR with degenerate primers and sequenced while sequences were compared with the database of GenBank by the BLAST algorithm. Evolution was analyzed by constructing phylogenetic tree using Mega 5.1.
In this study, a total of 73 NPEVs were analyzed, including 4 strains un-typed, 69 strains typed by RT-PCR. A total of 27 serotypes were identified, including 8 serotypes of human enterovirus (HEV)-A, 19 serotypes of HEV-B. The HEV-B group (46/69, 66.7%) constituted the largest proportion of isolates, followed by HEV-A (23/69, 33.3%), but no strains were found that belonged to HEV-C or HEV-D group. In the 69 strains, enterovirus 71 was the most frequently seen isolates, followed by coxsackie-virus A4, 16, 9 and echovirus 24, 6.
HEV-B was the most predominant (46/69, 66.7%) serotype of NPEV in Ningxia during the AFP surveillance, in 1997 - 2011.
鉴定1997 - 2011年期间宁夏急性弛缓性麻痹（AFP）病例中73株非脊髓灰质炎肠道病毒（NPEV）的血清型。
使用简并引物通过RT-PCR扩增VP1区域的部分序列并进行测序，同时通过BLAST算法将序列与GenBank数据库进行比较。使用Mega 5.1构建系统发育树分析进化情况。
本研究共分析73株NPEV，其中4株未分型，69株通过RT-PCR分型。共鉴定出27种血清型，包括8种人肠道病毒（HEV）-A血清型、19种HEV-B血清型。HEV-B组（46/69，66.7%）构成分离株的最大比例，其次是HEV-A（23/69，33.3%），但未发现属于HEV-C或HEV-D组的毒株。在69株中，肠道病毒71是最常见的分离株，其次是柯萨奇病毒A4、16、9以及埃可病毒24、6。
在1997 - 2011年AFP监测期间，HEV-B是宁夏NPEV最主要的血清型（46/69，66.7%）
