Human ovary is known to contain polyovular follicles at birth but it is considered to be rare in adult ovaries.
Four cases are presented where binovular complexes were found after ovarian stimulation. The age of women was 22 to 33 years and all of them had a good response to ovarian stimulation. Two different types of binovular complexes were found. The mature oocytes of three binovular complexes were fertilized by ICSI. The generated embryos did not develop beyond the eight-cell stage.
The mature oocytes of binovular complexes can be fertilized but their developmental potential is limited.
已知人类卵巢在出生时含有多卵卵泡,但在成年卵巢中被认为较为罕见。
本文报告4例在卵巢刺激后发现双卵复合体的病例。患者年龄为22至33岁,均对卵巢刺激反应良好。发现了两种不同类型的双卵复合体。3个双卵复合体的成熟卵母细胞通过卵胞浆内单精子注射(ICSI)受精。所产生的胚胎未发育超过8细胞阶段。
双卵复合体的成熟卵母细胞可以受精,但其发育潜力有限。
