To explore the diagnostic values of breast imaging and reporting data system (BI-RADS) and ultrasonic elastography (UE) for benign and malignant breast lesions.
A total of 122 breast lesions were studied with BI-RADS and UE scoring to compare the sensitivity and specificity according to the pathologic results. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves were used to assess the diagnostic value of BI-RADS, UE and combination.
Among them, pathological examinations showed that there were 72 benign and 50 malignant cases. Statistically significant differences in specificity existed between BI-RADS lexicon (as ≥ 4) and UE or combination (P < 0.05) while sensitivity showed no difference (P > 0.05); Statistically significant differences in sensitivity existed between BI-RADS (as ≥ 4B) and UE or combination (P < 0.05) while there was no difference in specificity (P > 0.05); No statistically significant differences existed between UE or combination. The area under the ROC curve was above 0.7.
Both BI-RADS and UE have a great diagnostic value for breast disease. UE is somewhat superior to BI-RADS. However, the value of combination may be more significant.
探讨乳腺影像报告和数据系统(BI-RADS)及超声弹性成像(UE)对乳腺良恶性病变的诊断价值。
对122例乳腺病变进行BI-RADS及UE评分,根据病理结果比较其敏感性和特异性。采用受试者操作特征(ROC)曲线评估BI-RADS、UE及两者联合的诊断价值。
其中,病理检查显示良性72例,恶性50例。BI-RADS分类(≥4类)与UE或两者联合在特异性上存在统计学差异(P<0.05),而敏感性无差异(P>0.05);BI-RADS(≥4B类)与UE或两者联合在敏感性上存在统计学差异(P<0.05),而特异性无差异(P>0.05);UE或两者联合之间无统计学差异。ROC曲线下面积均大于0.7。
BI-RADS和UE对乳腺疾病均有较大诊断价值。UE在一定程度上优于BI-RADS。然而,两者联合的价值可能更显著。
