The aim of this study is to assess the different histopathologic presentations of dermal filler materials-induced foreign body reactions by spectrometric analyses.
Sixteen cases of dermal filler foreign body reactions in the orofacial region were retrieved from the 2006-2013 period. The histologic features were evaluated and categorized into 5 groups (I to V). Unstained deparaffinized sections of representative tissue from one case in each of groups I to IV were sent for spectrometric analysis, along with samples of 2 popular dermal fillers (Juvéderm and Radiesse).
With the help of spectrometric analysis, we were able to correlate the histopathologic presentations with the specific type of dermal filler used.
本研究旨在通过光谱分析评估真皮填充材料引起的异物反应的不同组织病理学表现。
从2006年至2013年期间检索出16例口面部区域真皮填充异物反应病例。对组织学特征进行评估并分为5组(I至V)。将I至IV组中每组1例代表性组织的未染色脱石蜡切片送去进行光谱分析,同时送去分析的还有2种常用真皮填充剂(乔雅登和瑞蓝)的样本。
借助光谱分析,我们能够将组织病理学表现与所使用的特定类型真皮填充剂联系起来。
