[Methodology of studying the rheological properties of the gastric mucus and its diagnostic informativeness].

Rotation viscosimetry, a simple and easily reproducible method, has been employed in studies of the gastric mucus rheologic characteristics. Examinations of 66 patients with peptic ulcers and of 17 normal subjects have demonstrated a high diagnostic value of the reduction of the elasticity range and of the effective viscosity of the native gastric mucus.
