Abstract

Bifidobacterium animalis RH is a probiotic bacterium producing exopolysaccharides, which was isolated from the feces of Bama centenarians in Guangxi, China. The genome consists of one chromosome (1,931,057 bp) with no plasmid. The genomic sequence indicated that this strain includes a gene cluster involved in exopolysaccharides (EPS) biosynthesis. Genome sequencing information provides the basis for analysis of molecular mechanisms responsible for regulation of production of EPS.

动物双歧杆菌RH是一种能产生胞外多糖的益生菌,从中国广西巴马百岁老人的粪便中分离得到。其基因组由一条染色体(1,931,057 bp)组成,无质粒。基因组序列表明该菌株包含一个参与胞外多糖(EPS)生物合成的基因簇。基因组测序信息为分析负责EPS产生调控的分子机制提供了基础。
