A Gram-stain-negative, aerobic and rod-shaped bacterial strain, designated HME7524(T), was isolated from freshwater of Gyeong-an stream in Korea. A phylogenetic tree based on 16S rRNA gene sequences showed that strain HME7524(T) formed a distinct lineage within the genus Flavobacterium and exhibited high sequence similarity with Flavobacterium chungangense CJ7(T) (96.9 %), Flavobacterium aquidurense WB-1.1.56(T) (96.9 %), Flavobacterium tructae 435-08(T) (96.9 %) and Flavobacterium granuli Kw05(T) (96.9 %). The major fatty acids of strain HME7524(T) were iso-C15 : 0 (26.5 %) and summed feature 3 (comprising C16 : 1ω6c and/or C16 : 1ω7c; 17.4 %). The major polar lipids were phosphatidylethanolamine, two unidentified aminolipids and three unidentified polar lipids. The major respiratory quinone was MK-6. The DNA G+C content of strain HME7524(T) was 34.2 mol%. On the basis of the evidence presented in this study, strain HME7524(T) represents a novel species of the genus Flavobacterium, for which the name Flavobacterium gyeonganense sp. nov., is proposed. The type strain is HME7524(T) ( = KACC 17688(T) = CECT 8365(T)). Emended descriptions of Flavobacterium chungangense, Flavobacterium aquidurense, Flavobacterium tructae and Flavobacterium granuli are also provided.
从韩国镜安溪的淡水中分离出一株革兰氏阴性、需氧的杆状细菌菌株,命名为HME7524(T)。基于16S rRNA基因序列构建的系统发育树表明,菌株HME7524(T)在黄杆菌属内形成了一个独特的分支,与忠南黄杆菌CJ7(T)(96.9%)、水生黄杆菌WB-1.1.56(T)(96.9%)、特氏黄杆菌435-08(T)(96.9%)和颗粒黄杆菌Kw05(T)(96.9%)表现出高度的序列相似性。菌株HME7524(T)的主要脂肪酸为异-C15:0(26.5%)和特征性总和3(包含C16:1ω6c和/或C16:1ω7c;17.4%)。主要极性脂为磷脂酰乙醇胺、两种未鉴定的氨基脂和三种未鉴定的极性脂。主要呼吸醌为MK-6。菌株HME7524(T)的DNA G+C含量为34.2 mol%。基于本研究提供的证据,菌株HME7524(T)代表黄杆菌属的一个新物种,为此提出新名称镜安黄杆菌(Flavobacterium gyeonganense sp. nov.)。模式菌株为HME7524(T)(=KACC 17688(T)=CECT 8365(T))。还提供了忠南黄杆菌、水生黄杆菌、特氏黄杆菌和颗粒黄杆菌的修订描述。
