With the recent focus of researches on the development of non-invasive treatment modalities, the non-invasive treatment of early carious lesions by remineralization would bring a major advance in the clinical management of these dental defects. Casein phosphopeptide-amorphous calcium phosphate (CPP-ACP) is considered to be effective in tooth remineralization.
The aim of this in-vitro study was to compare the effects of whey and CPP-ACP in increasing the enamel microhardness.
Microhardness of 30 sound human permanent premolars was measured before and after 8-minute immersion of samples in Coca-Cola. The teeth were then randomly divided into 3 groups and were immersed in artificial saliva, whey, and tooth mousse for 10 minutes. The changes of microhardness within each group and among the groups were recorded and analyzed using paired t-test.
The microhardness increased in each group and between the groups; this increase was statistically significant (p= 0.009).
The effect of whey on increasing the enamel microhardness was more than that of tooth mousse.
随着近期研究聚焦于无创治疗方式的发展,通过再矿化对早期龋损进行无创治疗将在这些牙齿缺损的临床管理方面带来重大进展。酪蛋白磷酸肽 - 无定形磷酸钙(CPP - ACP)被认为在牙齿再矿化方面有效。
本体外研究的目的是比较乳清和CPP - ACP在增加釉质微硬度方面的效果。
在将30颗健康人恒前磨牙样本浸泡于可口可乐8分钟前后测量其微硬度。然后将牙齿随机分为3组,并分别浸泡于人工唾液、乳清和护齿素中10分钟。使用配对t检验记录并分析每组内及组间微硬度的变化。
每组及组间微硬度均增加;这种增加具有统计学意义(p = 0.009)。
乳清在增加釉质微硬度方面的效果优于护齿素。
