The DNA-binding one zinc finger (Dof) family transcription factors (TF) are involved in stress response. Dof TFs in carrot were identified and the responses of DcDof genes to abiotic stresses were analyzed.
46 DcDofs in carrot were identified from carrot genome database. Based on the conserved domain in Dof TF family of Arabidopsis thaliana, the DcDof TFs were divided into four classes, named class A, B, C and D. Carrot and Arabidopsis shared most motifs in the same subgroup. Real-time quantification PCR analysis showed tissue-specific expression patterns in DcDofs. DcDofs from eight subgroups responded to four abiotic stress treatments.
The expression profiles were different with the abiotic stresses changed, indicating complicated regulatory mechanisms in Dof TF family in higher plant, and the response mechanisms of Dof genes may be influenced by different plant species.

从胡萝卜基因组数据库中鉴定出46个胡萝卜DcDof。基于拟南芥Dof转录因子家族的保守结构域,将DcDof转录因子分为四类,命名为A、B、C和D类。胡萝卜和拟南芥在同一亚组中共享大多数基序。实时定量PCR分析显示DcDof具有组织特异性表达模式。来自八个亚组的DcDof对四种非生物胁迫处理有响应。
随着非生物胁迫的变化,表达谱有所不同,表明高等植物Dof转录因子家族中的调控机制复杂,且Dof基因的响应机制可能受不同植物物种的影响。
