Abstract

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is gaining acceptance as the diagnostic imaging procedure of choice for the disorders of the knee. MRI can reliably display tears of the menisci and ligaments. It also has an unmatched capability of detecting and assessing a wide spectrum of knee disorders that may be present as nonspecific knee pain: osteonecrosis, osteochondritis dissecans, stress fracture, bone and soft-tissue tumors, and vascular abnormalities. Practicing orthopedists should become better acquainted with this powerful diagnostic tool that can be an invaluable asset to their clinical practices.

磁共振成像(MRI)作为膝关节疾病的首选诊断成像方法正逐渐被广泛接受。MRI能够可靠地显示半月板和韧带的撕裂情况。它还具备无与伦比的能力,可检测和评估多种可能表现为非特异性膝关节疼痛的膝关节疾病:骨坏死、剥脱性骨软骨炎、应力性骨折、骨与软组织肿瘤以及血管异常。执业骨科医生应更好地熟悉这一强大的诊断工具,它对临床实践可能是一项极为宝贵的资产。
