Changes in the amplitude and time parameters of the visual evoked potentials (VEP) of the cortical visual projection area to sinusoidal reticula have been detected in 5-7-year-old children with amblyopia of varying severity; these changes have been particularly manifest in the high-frequency range. A relationship between the group VEP parameters and the vision status indicates the informative value of VEP as an indicator of visual cortex function.
