Lee Won Bok
Won Bok Lee, M.D., LL.M., S.J.D., is the Professor of Law at Ewha Law School, South Korea and executive faculty member of the Ewha Institute for Biomedical Law & Ethics (EIBLE). He received his M.D. degree from Seoul National University and LL.M. and S.J.D. degrees from Harvard Law School. The work was supported by the Ewha Womans University Research Grant of 2015.

Like many other countries, South Korea has recognized the importance of biobanks as a tool for medical research and has engaged in two very important tasks to foster biobanking infrastructure: funding biobanks and setting up rules to protect the integrity of biobanks that share potentially sensitive personal information.
