From January 1982 to April 1985, 39 cases of suicides and 208 attempted suicides have been recorded. The importance of suicide is nearly similar whatever sex it is. However, we have found, for attempted suicide, a higher ratio for women compared to men (3 for 1). This aggressive behaviour seemed to be specific for young adults. The commonest method used is the ingestion of a medical drug, mainly chloroquine. The confusion within the family and community, the breaking down of social cultures which until recently diverted aggressive behaviour and played a prophylactic role for all antisocial behaviours, are the main reasons for the increase in suicides and attempted suicides.
1982年1月至1985年4月期间，共记录了39起自杀事件和208起自杀未遂事件。无论性别如何，自杀的重要性几乎是相似的。然而，我们发现，在自杀未遂事件中，女性与男性的比例更高（3比1）。这种攻击性行为似乎是年轻人特有的。最常用的方法是服用药物，主要是氯喹。家庭和社区内部的混乱，以及直到最近还能转移攻击性行为并对所有反社会行为起到预防作用的社会文化的崩溃，是自杀和自杀未遂事件增加的主要原因。
