Cytologic and microbiologic aspects of vaginal Torulopsis.

Twenty-five cases of vaginal Torulopsis in 7,331 patients were confirmed by cultures, auxonograms and zimograms. The cytologic and microbiologic characteristics are described in these cases. The authors feel that a nonmicrobiologic diagnosis of vaginal Torulopsis can be made with a small margin of error since its clinical characteristics constitute a rather well-defined entity.
