Cutaneous leishmaniasis (CL) is one of the most common parasitic diseases and public health problems in Iran. CL is endemic in most parts of Ilam province, in the west of Iran. The distance from the center of country, the great number of divers rural areas, and lack of specialists and laboratory facilities have been the major causes of species remaining unknown in this region. Polymerase chain reaction followed by restriction fragment length polymorphism was performed to identify the species in 61 patients with cutaneous lesions. Eventually was confirmed as the cause of cutaneous leishmaniasis in Ilam province, the west of Iran.
皮肤利什曼病(CL)是伊朗最常见的寄生虫病和公共卫生问题之一。CL在伊朗西部的伊拉姆省大部分地区呈地方性流行。与该国中心的距离、众多分散的农村地区以及缺乏专家和实验室设施一直是该地区物种仍不为人知的主要原因。对61例有皮肤损害的患者进行了聚合酶链反应,随后进行限制性片段长度多态性分析以鉴定物种。最终,确认 是伊朗西部伊拉姆省皮肤利什曼病的病因。
