Abstract
A cortical hyperostosis is induced by injection of myeloblastic virus MAV 2 (O) in direct contact with periosteum, in chicken just after hatching. It appears an hyperplasia of osteogenic cells of the endoperiosteum. The enchondral ossification develops in normal condition. This lesion is quite different from osteopetrosis.
