The Blood Group Antigen-Binding Adhesion (), Outer Inflammatory Protein () and Sialic Acid-Binding Adhesin () as outer membrane proteins involved in adherence to gastric mucosa have been suggested to have a role in the pathogenesis.
To investigate the frequency of isolates , and genes in Iranian dyspeptic patients.
DNAs were extracted from -positive cultures taken from 100 different dyspeptic patients. Genotyping was performed by Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR), using the specific primers for , and genes. Chi square test was used to investigate association between variables, p<0.05 was considered statistically significant.
All (100%) isolates possessed and genotypes, whereas was detected in 22% of isolates. There was no significant relationship between presence of genes with clinical outcome. The combined genotype +/ +/ - was correlated with gastritis. The rate of genotype in our isolates was lower than other Iranian reports.
Frequency of genotype among isolates from Southwest of Iran is considerably less than other regions of Iran. Due to heterogeneity of strains in different geographic regions, further work will be needed to understand the role of these virulence genes in pathogenesis and their possible association with disease outcome.

调查伊朗消化不良患者中幽门螺杆菌分离株BabA、OipA和SabA基因的频率。
从100例不同消化不良患者的幽门螺杆菌阳性培养物中提取DNA。采用聚合酶链反应(PCR),使用针对BabA、OipA和SabA基因的特异性引物进行基因分型。采用卡方检验研究变量之间的关联,p<0.05被认为具有统计学意义。
所有(100%)分离株均具有BabA和OipA基因型,而22%的分离株检测到SabA。基因的存在与临床结果之间无显著关系。联合基因型BabA+/OipA+/SabA-与胃炎相关。我们分离株中SabA基因型的发生率低于其他伊朗报告。
伊朗西南部幽门螺杆菌分离株中SabA基因型的频率明显低于伊朗其他地区。由于不同地理区域幽门螺杆菌菌株的异质性,需要进一步开展工作以了解这些毒力基因在幽门螺杆菌发病机制中的作用及其与疾病结局的可能关联。
