A novel, Gram-stain-positive, moderately halophilic, endospore-forming, motile, facultatively anaerobic and rod-shaped strain, designated 0W14, was isolated from a marine saltern of Wendeng, China. Optimal growth occurred at 37 °C, pH 7.5 and with 6.0 % (w/v) NaCl. MK-7 was the sole respiratory quinone and the peptidoglycan type of 0W14 was A4βl-Orn-d-Glu. The major cellular fatty acid (>10.0 %) in strain 0W14 was anteiso-C15 : 0. The polar lipid profile of strain 0W14 consisted of diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylglycerol, two unknown glycolipids and four unknown phospholipids. The genomic DNA G+C content of the strain was 44.8 mol%. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequences revealed that strain 0W14 forms a phylogenetic lineage with members of the genus Lentibacillus within the family Bacillaceae. Based on data from the current polyphasic study, the isolate is proposed to represent a novel species of genus Lentibacillus, for which the name Lentibacillus sediminis sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is 0W14 (=KCTC 33835=MCCC 1H00171).
从中国文登的一个海盐场分离出一株新型革兰氏阳性、中度嗜盐、产芽孢、具运动性、兼性厌氧的杆状菌株,命名为0W14。该菌株在37 °C、pH 7.5和6.0 %(w/v)NaCl条件下生长最佳。MK-7是唯一的呼吸醌,0W14的肽聚糖类型为A4βl-Orn-d-Glu。0W14菌株中主要的细胞脂肪酸(>10.0 %)为anteiso-C15 : 0。0W14菌株的极性脂质谱由双磷脂酰甘油、磷脂酰甘油、两种未知糖脂和四种未知磷脂组成。该菌株的基因组DNA G+C含量为44.8 mol%。基于16S rRNA基因序列的系统发育分析表明,菌株0W14与芽孢杆菌科嗜盐芽孢杆菌属的成员形成一个系统发育分支。根据当前多相研究的数据,该分离株被提议代表嗜盐芽孢杆菌属的一个新物种,为此提出名称嗜盐沉积物芽孢杆菌(Lentibacillus sediminis sp. nov.)。模式菌株为0W14(=KCTC 33835=MCCC 1H00171)。
