A Gram-stain-negative, aerobic, non-motile, yellow and rod-shaped bacterial strain was isolated from forest mud located at Kyung Hee University, South Korea. Strain THG-AG6.4 grew at 10-35 °C, pH 6.0-9.5 and in the presence of 0-1.5 % (w/v) NaCl. Phylogenetic analysis, based on 16S rRNA gene sequencing, showed that strain THG-AG6.4 was most closely related to Flavobacterium gyeonganense HME 7524 (97.66 %), Flavobacterium defluvii EMB 117 (96.93 %) and Flavobacterium arsenitoxidans S2-3H (96.80 %). The DNA G+C content of strain THG-AG6.4 was 30.2 mol%. The DNA-DNA relatedness values between strain THG-AG6.4 and its closest phylogenetic neighbour, F. gyeonganense HME 7524, were below 61.0 %. The predominant quinone of strain THG-AG6.4 was MK-6. The major polar lipids were phosphatidylethanolamine, an unidentified phospholipid, five unidentified glycolipids, phosphatidylserine, an unidentified lipid, an unidentified aminophospholipid, two unidentified aminolipids and two unidentified aminoglycolipids. The major fatty acids were C16 : 0, C18 : 0 10-methyl, summed feature 3 and C18 : 1ω9c. The major polyamine was homospermidine. On the basis of the phenotypic, genotypic and phylogenetic characterization of strain THG-AG6.4, it is concluded that the isolate represents a novel species of the genus Flavobacterium, for which the name Flavobacterium limi sp. nov. is proposed, with THG-AG6.4 as the type strain (=KACC 18851=CGMCC 1.16060).
从韩国庆熙大学的森林泥土中分离出一株革兰氏阴性、需氧、无运动性、黄色杆状细菌菌株。菌株THG-AG6.4在10-35 °C、pH 6.0-9.5以及0-1.5 %(w/v)NaCl存在的条件下生长。基于16S rRNA基因测序的系统发育分析表明,菌株THG-AG6.4与京畿黄杆菌HME 7524(97.66 %)、河流黄杆菌EMB 117(96.93 %)和亚砷酸盐氧化黄杆菌S2-3H(96.80 %)关系最为密切。菌株THG-AG6.4的DNA G+C含量为30.2 mol%。菌株THG-AG6.4与其最亲近的系统发育邻居京畿黄杆菌HME 7524之间的DNA-DNA相关性值低于61.0 %。菌株THG-AG6.4的主要醌为MK-6。主要极性脂为磷脂酰乙醇胺、一种未鉴定的磷脂、五种未鉴定的糖脂、磷脂酰丝氨酸、一种未鉴定的脂类、一种未鉴定的氨基磷脂、两种未鉴定的氨基脂类和两种未鉴定的氨基糖脂。主要脂肪酸为C16 : 0、C18 : 0 10-甲基、总和特征3和C18 : 1ω9c。主要多胺为高亚精胺。基于菌株THG-AG6.4的表型、基因型和系统发育特征,得出该分离株代表黄杆菌属一个新物种的结论,为此提议将其命名为林氏黄杆菌(Flavobacterium limi sp. nov.),以THG-AG6.4作为模式菌株(=KACC 18851=CGMCC 1.16060)。
