Clinical experience is critical for the development of practice knowledge that can support patients and their families. How opportunities for students to learn from experience, particularly workplace experiences, are structured is an important aspect of curriculum design in nursing. From a sociocultural viewpoint of learning, the learner should be totally engaged in the culture of the workplace (Billet, 2014).
临床经验对于形成能够支持患者及其家属的实践知识至关重要。学生如何获得从经验中学习的机会，尤其是工作场所经验的机会，是护理课程设计的一个重要方面。从社会文化学习观来看，学习者应完全融入工作场所的文化（比莱特，2014年）。
