Abstract

A novel analytical method was developed for the simultaneous determination of six fluorescent whitening agents (FWAs:FWA 135, FWA 184, FWA 185, FWA 199, FWA 378 and FWA 393) in paper and plastic food packaging materials by high performance liquid chromatography with fluorescence detection (HPLC-FLD). The sample was extracted with mixed solution of chloroform and acetonitrile (3:7, v/v), then cleaned up by HLB solid phase extraction column. Qualitative and quantitative analyses were carried out by HPLC. The sample was separated on a Phenomenex C18 column using acetonitrile and 5 mmol/L ammonium acetate aqueous solution as mobile phases. The results indicated that the linear range of FWA393 was 15-1500 μg/L and the linear ranges of the other five FWAs were 5-500 μg/L with correlation coefficients greater than 0.999. The recoveries in spiked samples were between 80.4% and 125.0% with RSDs (=6) of 1%-13%. Furthermore, this method was applied to analyze 12 samples in the market to verify the practicality of the method. The method showed the advantages of simplicity, high recovery and good precision, and is suitable for the detection of the six fluorescent whitening agents in food packaging materials.

建立了一种高效液相色谱-荧光检测法(HPLC-FLD)同时测定纸质和塑料食品包装材料中六种荧光增白剂(FWAs:FWA 135、FWA 184、FWA 185、FWA 199、FWA 378和FWA 393)的新分析方法。样品用氯仿和乙腈的混合溶液(3:7,v/v)萃取,然后通过HLB固相萃取柱净化。采用HPLC进行定性和定量分析。样品在Phenomenex C18柱上分离,以乙腈和5 mmol/L乙酸铵水溶液为流动相。结果表明,FWA393的线性范围为15-1500 μg/L,其他五种FWA的线性范围为5-500 μg/L,相关系数大于0.999。加标样品的回收率在80.4%至125.0%之间,相对标准偏差(RSDs,n = 6)为1%-13%。此外,该方法应用于分析市售的12个样品以验证其实用性。该方法具有操作简便、回收率高、精密度好等优点,适用于食品包装材料中六种荧光增白剂的检测。
