An AgSCF mediated nucleophilic trifluoromethylthiolation reaction for C(sp)-SCF bond formation is reported. This nucleophilic trifluoromethylthiolation reaction of bromoalkynones afforded various useful ynonyl trifluoromethyl sulfides in high yields. Interestingly, the over-addition of AgSCF is avoided in our approach.
