Abstract

With the increase of industrial wastes, sewage irrigation, chemical fertilizers and pesticides, metal contamination is increasingly serious. How to reduce the environmental risk has become a compelling problem in cultivated land. As a gaseous signal molecule, hydrogen sulfide (HS) is involved in multiple plant responses to toxic metal stress. Metal stress rapidly triggers endogenous HS production and exogenous HS alleviates metal toxicity in plants. To elucidate the role of HS in metal tolerance, the physiological and molecular mechanisms of HS in alleviating metal toxicity is necessary to be reviewed. Here, the latest progress on endogenous HS metabolism and the role of HS in plant responses to toxic metal stress were summarized and discussed. The mechanisms of exogenous HS in alleviating metal toxicity is proposed.

随着工业废物、污水灌溉、化肥和农药的增加,金属污染日益严重。如何降低环境风险已成为耕地面临的一个紧迫问题。作为一种气态信号分子,硫化氢 (HS) 参与了植物对有毒金属胁迫的多种反应。金属胁迫会迅速引发内源性 HS 的产生,而外源性 HS 则可以缓解植物的金属毒性。为了阐明 HS 在金属耐受中的作用,有必要研究 HS 缓解金属毒性的生理和分子机制。本文总结和讨论了内源性 HS 代谢的最新进展以及 HS 在植物应对有毒金属胁迫中的作用。提出了外源性 HS 缓解金属毒性的机制。
