Abstract
OBJECTIVES
To identify the perceptions towards spirituality and spiritual care among nurses at tertiary care hospitals in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
METHODS
A cross-sectional study was conducted on nurses at five tertiary care hospitals in Riyadh. The data were collected using the Spirituality and Spiritual Care Rating Scale (SSCRS).
RESULTS
We recruited 978 nurses, of which 896 (91.6%) were female. The mean SSCRS score was 3.8±0.5 (the spirituality and spiritual care statements fell within the 'agree' category). A statistically significant difference was found only between perceptions of spirituality and spiritual care among nurses and their nursing experience duration.
CONCLUSIONS
The findings of this study revealed that nurses were oriented to spirituality, and respected the importance of providing spiritual care to their patients. The nurses believed that spirituality exists in all religions and spiritual care means showing concern while treating the patients by focusing on respecting patients' religious beliefs.

目的
确定沙特阿拉伯利雅得三级护理医院护士对灵性与灵性照护的看法。
方法
对利雅得五家三级护理医院的护士进行了一项横断面研究。使用灵性与灵性照护评定量表（SSCRS）收集数据。
结果
我们招募了978名护士，其中896名（91.6%）为女性。SSCRS平均得分为3.8±0.5（灵性与灵性照护陈述属于“同意”类别）。仅在护士对灵性与灵性照护的看法与其护理经验时长之间发现了统计学上的显著差异。
结论
本研究结果显示，护士倾向于灵性，并尊重为患者提供灵性照护的重要性。护士们认为灵性存在于所有宗教中，灵性照护意味着在治疗患者时通过关注尊重患者的宗教信仰来表达关心。
