Abstract

OBJECTIVE

To investigate the impact of meteorological conditions and PM on the onset of acute aortic dissection in monsoonal climate.

METHODS

A linear regression analysis was performed in monsoonal climate epidemiological survey for a period of four years on the impact of meteorological factors (minimal temperature, mean temperature, maximal temperature, average daily surface temperature, day temperature range, relative humidity, mean wind speed, and atmospheric pressure) and PM concentration on the daily incidences of acute aortic dissections. Meteorological variables and PM concentration were retrieved on a daily basis from Beijing Regional Climate Center and the Ministry of Environmental Protection of the People's Republic of China's website, and the daily incidences of acute aortic dissections were retrieved from the Clinical Data Analysis and Reporting System in the Emergency and Critical Care Center of Beijing Anzhen Hospital.

RESULTS

During the study period (from January 2011 to December 2014), 1164 patients were identified as having acute aortic dissections. The corresponding incidences in spring and autumn were 0.96 and 1.00, respectively, which significantly higher than that in summer and winter. The incidences of acute aortic dissection in a day could be predicted by diurnal temperature range (DTR) using the following linear multiple regression models: incidences of acute aortic dissection = 0.543 + 0.025 × DTR.

CONCLUSION

This is the first study to show an attributable effect of DTR on acute aortic events in monsoonal climate. Our study confirms that meteorological variables were important factors influencing the incidence of acute aortic dissection.

探讨季风气候下气象条件和颗粒物(PM)对急性主动脉夹层发病的影响。

方法

在为期四年的季风气候流行病学调查中,采用线性回归分析气象因素(最低气温、平均气温、最高气温、日平均地表温度、日气温极差、相对湿度、平均风速和气压)及PM浓度对急性主动脉夹层每日发病率的影响。气象变量和PM浓度每日从北京区域气候中心及中华人民共和国环境保护部网站获取,急性主动脉夹层的每日发病率从北京安贞医院急诊与危重症中心临床数据分析与报告系统获取。

结果

研究期间(2011年1月至2014年12月),共识别出1164例急性主动脉夹层患者。春秋季相应发病率分别为0.96和1.00,显著高于夏季和冬季。采用以下线性多元回归模型,可通过日气温极差(DTR)预测急性主动脉夹层的每日发病率:急性主动脉夹层发病率=0.543 + 0.025×DTR。

结论

本研究首次表明在季风气候下DTR对急性主动脉事件有归因作用。我们的研究证实气象变量是影响急性主动脉夹层发病率的重要因素。
