A Gram-stain-negative, aerobic, non-motile, non-spore-forming, rod-shaped bacterial strain, designated CAU 1304, was isolated from sea sand. Strain CAU 1304 grew optimally at pH 8.5 and 30 °C and in the presence of 1 % (w/v) NaCl. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequences revealed that strain CAU 1304 belonged to the family Rhodobacteraceae, and was most closely related to Roseicitreum antarcticum ZS2-28 (96.54 % similarity) and Rhodobacter veldkampii ATCC 35703 (96.46 %). The major fatty acid was C18 : 1ω7c and the respiratory quinone was Q-10. The polar lipids were composed of phosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylcholine and an unidentified aminolipid. The DNA G+C content was 55.9 mol%. On the basis of phenotypic, chemotaxonomic and phylogenetic analysis, it is proposed that strain CAU 1304 represents a novel species of a new genus of the family Rhodobacteraceae, for which the name Arenibacillus arenosus gen. nov., sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain of Arenibacillus arenosus is CAU 1304 (=KCTC 42827=NBRC 113022).
从海砂中分离出一株革兰氏染色阴性、需氧、无运动性、不形成芽孢的杆状细菌,命名为CAU 1304。菌株CAU 1304在pH 8.5和30 °C以及1%(w/v)NaCl存在的条件下生长最佳。基于16S rRNA基因序列的系统发育分析表明,菌株CAU 1304属于红杆菌科,与南极玫瑰色菌ZS2-28(相似度96.54%)和维尔德坎普红杆菌ATCC 35703(相似度96.46%)关系最为密切。主要脂肪酸为C18 : 1ω7c,呼吸醌为Q-10。极性脂质由磷脂酰甘油、磷脂酰胆碱和一种未鉴定的氨基脂质组成。DNA G+C含量为55.9 mol%。基于表型、化学分类和系统发育分析,建议将菌株CAU 1304代表红杆菌科一个新属的一个新物种,为此提出新属名沙栖芽孢杆菌属(Arenibacillus),新种名沙栖沙栖芽孢杆菌(Arenibacillus arenosus)。沙栖沙栖芽孢杆菌的模式菌株为CAU 1304(=KCTC 42827=NBRC 113022)。
