Local injection of a bacteriophages mix during debridement, antibiotics and implant retention ("DAIR") was performed to treat a relapsing Staphylococcus chronic prosthetic joint infection (PJI). This salvage treatment was safe and associated with a clinical success. Scientific evaluation of the potential clinical benefit of bacteriophages as antibiofilm treatment in PJI is now feasible and required.
在清创、抗生素和植入物保留（“DAIR”）过程中进行噬菌体混合物局部注射，以治疗复发性金黄色葡萄球菌慢性人工关节感染（PJI）。这种挽救性治疗是安全的，且取得了临床成功。现在对噬菌体作为PJI抗生物膜治疗的潜在临床益处进行科学评估是可行且必要的。
