The aim of this study was to disclose the correlation between the serum levels of hypoxia-inducible factor 1 alpha (HIF-1α) and IL-19 and stable COPD.
The serum levels of HIF-1α and IL-19 were tested by ELISA. The relationships between their levels and clinical parameters of stable COPD patients were analyzed by linear regression methods.
Patients with stable COPD showed higher serum levels of HIF-1α and IL-19 compared with healthy control group (<0.001), and serum levels of HIF-1α and IL-19 had a positive linear correlation (<0.05). In stable COPD patients, increased serum levels of HIF-1α and IL-19 were positively correlated with the GOLD grading (<0.005), modified British Medical Research Council (mMRC) score (<0.05), and medical history (<0.05) but negatively related to the pulmonary function (<0.05). The serum level of HIF-1α (<0.05) was affected by the patient's FEV/FVC value and COPD grading, and the serum level of IL-19 was associated with the mMRC scores and the serum level of HIF-1α (<0.05).
Increased serum levels of HIF-1α and IL-19 correlated with the disease progression of COPD, suggesting that they can be used as indicators to help us understand the COPD.

与健康对照组相比,稳定期COPD患者的HIF-1α和IL-19血清水平更高(<0.001),且HIF-1α和IL-19血清水平呈正线性相关(<0.05)。在稳定期COPD患者中,HIF-1α和IL-19血清水平升高与慢性阻塞性肺疾病全球倡议(GOLD)分级(<0.005)、改良英国医学研究委员会(mMRC)评分(<0.05)及病史(<0.05)呈正相关,但与肺功能呈负相关(<0.05)。HIF-1α血清水平(<0.05)受患者第一秒用力呼气容积/用力肺活量(FEV/FVC)值和慢性阻塞性肺疾病分级的影响,IL-19血清水平与mMRC评分及HIF-1α血清水平相关(<0.05)。
HIF-1α和IL-19血清水平升高与慢性阻塞性肺疾病的疾病进展相关,提示它们可作为帮助我们了解慢性阻塞性肺疾病情况的指标。
