Abstract
2-Cyanomethylimidazo [4,5-b]pyridine 1 was obtained and its properties during acid and basic hydrolysis, esterification, and reaction with hydrogen sulfide were investigated. Condensation of 1 with aromatic aldehydes was also studied. Some of the obtained compounds were tested on tuberculostatic activity.
