Abstract

A new antimalarial sterol, kaimanol (), along with a known sterol, saringosterol () was isolated from the Indonesian Marine sponge, a sp. The chemical structure of the new compound was determined on the basis of spectroscopic evidences and by comparison to those related compounds previously reported. Isolated compounds, and were evaluated for their antiplasmodial effect against 3D7 strains. Compounds and exhibited antiplasmodial activity with IC values of 359 and 0.250 nM, respectively.

一种新的抗疟甾体化合物,海芒果醇(),与一种已知的甾体化合物,鲨肝醇(),从印度尼西亚海洋海绵物种中分离得到。基于光谱证据并与先前报道的相关化合物进行比较,确定了新化合物的化学结构。对分离得到的化合物和进行了针对3D7菌株的抗疟原虫作用评估。化合物和分别表现出抗疟原虫活性,IC值分别为359和0.250 nM。
