[Monotherapy of patients with stenocardia with individually administered doses of delayed-action nitrates (Working Group for Cooperative Studies on Anti-anginal Drugs)].

The group presented the results of a prolonged use of nitrates of prolonged action at effective doses among patients with cardiac angina, in whom they were the most effective of the antianginal drugs used. The results of the treatment with trinitrolong (a new Soviet drug), sustac and nitroderm ointment have demonstrated a noticeable and stable antianginal effect of trinitrolong. The above nitrates produced no side-effects which could cause therapy discontinuation.
