Abstract

Exosomes have gone from being considered simple containers of intracellular waste substances to be considered important carriers of cellular signals. Its broad capacity to promote tumour growth, both and metastatic, has greatly intensified scientific research on them. In the same way and depending on its content, its tumour suppressive properties have opened a window of light and hope in the fight against cancer. In the present review we try to gather in a simple and understandable way the most relevant knowledge to date on the role of exosomes in oral squamous cell carcinoma, helping to understand their process of formation, release and activity on the tumour microenvironment.

外泌体已从被认为是细胞内废物的简单容器,转变为细胞信号的重要载体。其广泛促进肿瘤生长的能力,无论是原发性还是转移性的,极大地加剧了科学界对其的研究。同样地,根据其内容,其肿瘤抑制特性为癌症的治疗开辟了一个光明和希望的窗口。在本综述中,我们试图以简单易懂的方式收集迄今为止关于外泌体在口腔鳞状细胞癌中作用的最相关知识,帮助理解其在肿瘤微环境中的形成、释放和活性过程。
