Therapeutic communication (TC) between nursing students and patients is essential for providing high-quality care. This study aimed to introduce a questionnaire for the assessment of TC among Iranian nursing students and to examine its psychometric properties. This mixed-method research was conducted in two phases of developing tool content and validation of the scale. Five factors were specified, explaining 42.89% of the total variance. The confirmatory factor analysis confirmed the structure of the scale. Cronbach's alpha coefficient of the scale was 0.83. The final questionnaire was a valid and reliable scale for the self-assessment of TC among nursing students. Furthermore, scholars can use this instrument to compare students' TC before and after educational interventions. Nursing students' TC questionnaire is a suitable instrument for assessing nursing trainees' TC and enhancing their engagement in learning.
治疗性沟通(TC)是护理学生与患者之间提供高质量护理的关键。本研究旨在介绍一种评估伊朗护理学生 TC 的问卷,并检验其心理测量学特性。这项混合方法研究分为两个阶段:工具内容的开发和量表的验证。确定了五个因素,解释了总方差的 42.89%。验证性因子分析证实了该量表的结构。该量表的克朗巴赫 α 系数为 0.83。最终的问卷是一种有效的、可靠的评估护理学生 TC 的量表。此外,学者们可以使用该工具比较教育干预前后学生的 TC。护理学生 TC 问卷是一种评估护理实习生 TC 并增强他们学习参与度的合适工具。
