Abstract

Iodinated contrast is the most common contrast agent used during endovascular abdominal aneurysm repair (EVAR). However, its use may worsen kidney function in patients with renal insufficiency. Previous studies have demonstrated the safety and effectiveness of carbon dioxide (CO)-EVAR. Here, we report cases of three male patients with mild renal insufficiency (mean age: 79 years) that successfully underwent CO-EVAR using INCRAFT ultra-low profile endografts. CO angiography provided the necessary vascular roadmap for safe and effective percutaneous EVAR, eliminating the need for iodinated contrast media and preventing contrast-induced nephropathy.

碘化造影剂是血管内腹主动脉瘤修复术(EVAR)中最常用的造影剂。然而,对于肾功能不全的患者,使用碘化造影剂可能会使肾功能恶化。此前的研究已证实二氧化碳(CO)-EVAR的安全性和有效性。在此,我们报告3例轻度肾功能不全男性患者(平均年龄:79岁)成功使用INCRAFT超小型腔内移植物进行CO-EVAR的病例。CO血管造影为安全有效的经皮EVAR提供了必要的血管路径图,无需使用碘化造影剂,并预防了造影剂肾病。
