Abstract
Here, we announce the complete genome sequence of sp. strain BAB1, which was isolated from filter-sterilized tap water. The genome consists of a 3.82-Mb chromosome. Moreover, we provide base methylation data and evidence of incomplete retention by 0.22-μm filters for this putative novel species.
