Abstract

is an important medicinal plant and endemic species in Saudi Arabia. This study reported the complete chloroplast genome of , the second to be sequence in non cystolith clade of Acanthaceae. The genome is 149, 717 bp in size and consisted of a pair of inverted repeat (25, 331 bp each) separating the two single copy region, the large single copy (LSC) 82, 057 bp and small single copy SSC 16, 998 bp. The plastome has overall GC content of 38.5% and 112 genes comprising of 79 protein coding genes, 30 tRNA genes and 4 rRNA genes. The phylogenetic relationship analysis showed that B. ciliaris is sister to Aphelandra knappiea. The cp genome reported in this study will useful in genetic diversity and evolutionary studies of the species.

是沙特阿拉伯一种重要的药用植物和特有物种。本研究报道了该植物的完整叶绿体基因组,这是爵床科非钟乳体分支中第二个被测序的基因组。该基因组大小为149,717 bp,由一对反向重复序列(各25,331 bp)分隔两个单拷贝区域,即大单拷贝区(LSC)82,057 bp和小单拷贝区(SSC)16,998 bp。叶绿体基因组的总体GC含量为38.5%,有112个基因,包括79个蛋白质编码基因、30个tRNA基因和4个rRNA基因。系统发育关系分析表明,睫毛斑叶爵床与纳氏单药花是姐妹关系。本研究报道的叶绿体基因组将有助于该物种的遗传多样性和进化研究。
