Abstract

The complete mitochondrial genome from the Pleistocene stallion horse () which complete skull was found in 1901 on Kotelny Island (New Siberian Archipelago, Sakha Republic, Russia) is published in this paper. The mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) is 16,584 base pairs (bp) in length and contained 13 protein-coding genes, 2 rRNA genes, 22 tRNA genes. The overall base composition of the genome in descending order was 32.3% - A, 28.5% - C, 13.4% - G, 25.8% - T without a significant AT bias of 58.2%.

本文发表了1901年在科捷利内岛(俄罗斯萨哈共和国新西伯利亚群岛)发现完整头骨的更新世种公马的完整线粒体基因组。线粒体DNA(mtDNA)长度为16,584个碱基对(bp),包含13个蛋白质编码基因、2个rRNA基因、22个tRNA基因。基因组的总体碱基组成从高到低依次为:32.3% - A、28.5% - C、13.4% - G、25.8% - T,不存在58.2%的显著AT偏向。
