Abstract
The fact that the classification of psychopharmacological agents depends on clinical studies is emphasized. The difficulties in defining homogeneous groups of depressed patients are emphasized. Some contradictions in the literature are considered. Caution in interpreting the literature on antidepressant agents is recommended.
