Reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) has been the gold standard to diagnose severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). Still, few false-positive reports are emerging up that add to the physicians' dilemma and maintenance of health statistics.
