Leishmaniasis is a chronic inflammatory disease caused by several species of the parasite Leishmania that is transmitted by insects of the genus spp. or spp. This disease can affect skin, mucous membranes and viscera being classified as cutaneous, mucocutaneous and visceral leishmaniasis, depending on the spectrum of clinical manifestations. Diagnosis can be achieved through biopsy, microscopical analysis, Montenegro intradermoreaction and/or ELISA. The dentist plays an important role in the diagnosis of this disease due to frequent involvement of oral mucosa. This article reports two clinical cases of leishmaniasis with oral mucosa involvement, their diagnosis workup and treatment.
利什曼病是一种由几种利什曼原虫属寄生虫引起的慢性炎症性疾病，通过 属或 属昆虫传播。根据临床表现的范围，这种疾病可影响皮肤、黏膜和内脏，分为皮肤利什曼病、黏膜皮肤利什曼病和内脏利什曼病。诊断可通过活检、显微镜分析、蒙氏皮内反应和/或酶联免疫吸附测定来实现。由于口腔黏膜经常受累，牙医在这种疾病的诊断中起着重要作用。本文报告了两例口腔黏膜受累的利什曼病临床病例、其诊断检查及治疗情况。
