Abstract

Taiwan Blue Magpie () is endemic to Taiwan and listed as threatened species protected by law. In this study, we first determined and described the complete mitochondrial genome of Taiwan Blue Magpie. The circle genome is 16,928 bp in length, and contains 13 protein coding, 22 tRNA, two rRNA genes, and one non-coding control region (CR). The overall base composition of the mitochondrial DNA is 30.99% for A, 24.69% for T, 30.07% for C, and 14.25% for G. The percentage of G + C content is 44.32%. This work provides fundamental molecular data which will be useful for evolution and phylogeny studies on Corvidae in the future.

台湾蓝鹊()是台湾特有的鸟类,被列为受法律保护的濒危物种。在本研究中,我们首次测定并描述了台湾蓝鹊的完整线粒体基因组。环状基因组长度为16,928 bp,包含13个蛋白质编码基因、22个tRNA基因、2个rRNA基因和1个非编码控制区(CR)。线粒体DNA的总体碱基组成为:A占30.99%,T占24.69%,C占30.07%,G占14.25%。G + C含量百分比为44.32%。这项工作提供了基础分子数据,将有助于未来对鸦科鸟类的进化和系统发育研究。
