Abstract

In this study, the complete mitochondrial genome of cape elephant shrew, was determined through sequencing of PCR fragments. The complete mitochondrial genome of was 16,552 bp in length and and encoded 13 protein-coding genes, 22 transfer RNA (tRNA) genes, and two ribosomal RNA genes. The overall nucleotide composition is: 32.7% A, 29.5% T, 25.0% C, and 12.9% G, with a total G+C content of 37.9%. By phylogenetic analysis using Bayesian method, showed the closest relationship with another s speceis (Genbank accession: AB096867.1).

在本研究中,通过对PCR片段进行测序,确定了南非象鼩的完整线粒体基因组。其完整线粒体基因组长度为16,552 bp,编码13个蛋白质编码基因、22个转运RNA(tRNA)基因和两个核糖体RNA基因。总体核苷酸组成为:A占32.7%,T占29.5%,C占25.0%,G占12.9%,G+C总含量为37.9%。通过贝叶斯方法进行系统发育分析,结果显示其与另一个物种(Genbank登录号:AB096867.1)的关系最为密切。
