Abstract
Liver cancer is a prominent cause of cancer death in the United States. Rates of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), the most common histologic subtype, increased for decades, until recent years when rates flattened, and then potentially declined. Previously, we reported that US HCC rates in 2016 were 4% lower than 2015; however, it was unclear from those data whether that finding reflected a true downward trend. Here, we examine HCC rates through 2017.
