[Effect of intratracheal instillation of a physiological solution on the mechanics of breathing in patients with chronic bronchitis and bronchial asthma].

A study was made of respiratory mechanics in 20 patients with chronic bronchitis and 10 patients with bronchial asthma before and after saline intratracheal instillation (at once and within 120 min). Disorders of the elastic and non-elastic mechanical properties of the lungs and the relationship of these changes with the presence and expression of the bronchial obstruction syndrome were revealed.
