The aim of our study was to compare the technetium-99m (Tc-99m)-ethylenedicysteine (EC) renography calculation of differential renal function (DRF) with this measurement using Tc-99m-dimercaptosuccinic acid (DMSA) scintigraphy.
Patients referred to our department were included in our study, and both DMSA and EC scans were performed for each patient according to the standard imaging protocols. A checklist was filled for each patient. Statistical analysis was performed using correlation and regression methods.
Forty-two patients (mean age: 3.6 ± 3.4 years), including 32 boys and 10 girls, participated in our study. The results of EC scintigraphy were significantly correlated with the values of DMSA scintigraphy ( < 0.001). Performing linear regression, EC renography significantly ( < 0.001) predicted the DRF as it was calculated by DMSA scintigraphy ( = 0.92, < 0.001). This test was significant in both male and female subgroups ( < 0.001).
Overall, our study findings were similar to the reported results in the other reviewed studies, showing that Tc-99m-EC can be considered as an alternative for DMSA scintigraphy, providing interchangeable results.
我们研究的目的是比较锝-99m(Tc-99m)-乙二巯基丁二酸(EC)肾图计算的分肾功能(DRF)与使用Tc-99m-二巯基丁二酸(DMSA)闪烁扫描法进行的该测量结果。
转诊至我们科室的患者纳入本研究,根据标准成像方案对每位患者进行DMSA和EC扫描。为每位患者填写一份检查表。使用相关性和回归方法进行统计分析。
42例患者(平均年龄:3.6±3.4岁),包括32名男孩和10名女孩,参与了我们的研究。EC闪烁扫描结果与DMSA闪烁扫描值显著相关(<0.001)。进行线性回归分析,EC肾图显著(<0.001)预测了DMSA闪烁扫描法计算的DRF(=0.92,<0.001)。该检测在男性和女性亚组中均具有显著性(<0.001)。
总体而言,我们的研究结果与其他综述研究中报告的结果相似,表明Tc-99m-EC可被视为DMSA闪烁扫描法的替代方法,能提供可互换的结果。
