The relationship between organizational communication and missed nursing care in oncology wards in Taiwan.

AIM
Unfavourable communication increases missed nursing care. Oncology wards have more communication complexity than general wards; therefore, creating a positive communication environment is important for ensuring quality care. This study aimed to understand the relationship between organizational communication satisfaction and missed nursing care in Taiwan.
DESIGN
This cross-sectional study was performed to measure organizational communication satisfaction and missed nursing care in six oncology wards at a stand-alone cancer centre hospital in Taipei, Taiwan in December, 2018.
METHODS
The study collected data using the Communication Satisfaction Questionnaire and the MISSCARE survey. The data were analysed using descriptive statistics, t test, analysis of variance and Pearson product-moment correlation analysis in December 16, 2018.
RESULTS
A total of 111 questionnaires were collected, and the response rate was 92.5%. The study showed that nurses tended to miss nursing care when they were dissatisfied with the unit's manpower status organizational communication environment, horizontal and diagonal communication and informal communication.
目的
不良沟通会增加护理缺失。肿瘤病房的沟通复杂性高于普通病房；因此，营造积极的沟通环境对于确保高质量的护理至关重要。本研究旨在了解组织沟通满意度与台湾护理缺失之间的关系。
设计
本横断面研究于 2018 年 12 月在台北一家独立癌症中心医院的 6 个肿瘤病房中进行，旨在测量组织沟通满意度和护理缺失。
方法
研究使用沟通满意度问卷和 MISSCARE 调查收集数据。2018 年 12 月 16 日，采用描述性统计、t 检验、方差分析和皮尔逊积矩相关分析对数据进行分析。
结果
共收集了 111 份问卷，应答率为 92.5%。研究表明，当护士对单位的人力状况、组织沟通环境、水平和对角沟通以及非正式沟通不满意时，他们往往会忽视护理。
