Bone and soft tissue sarcomas consist of a heterogeneous group of malignant tumors of mesenchymal origin that can affect patients from any age. The precise staging of these lesions determines the best therapeutic strategies and prognosis estimates. Two staging systems are the most frequently used: the system proposed by the University of Florida group, led by Dr. William F. Enneking (1980) and adopted by the Musculoskeletal Tumor Society (MSTS), and the system developed by the American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC) (1977), currently in its 8 edition (2017). This paper updates the reader on the staging of bone and soft tissue sarcomas affecting the musculoskeletal system.
骨肉瘤和软组织肉瘤是一组异质性的间充质来源恶性肿瘤，可影响任何年龄段的患者。这些病变的精确分期决定了最佳治疗策略和预后评估。最常用的两种分期系统是：由威廉·F·恩内肯博士领导的佛罗里达大学团队提出（1980年）并被肌肉骨骼肿瘤学会（MSTS）采用的系统，以及美国癌症联合委员会（AJCC）制定的系统（1977年），目前为第8版（2017年）。本文向读者介绍影响肌肉骨骼系统的骨肉瘤和软组织肉瘤的分期情况。
