The Swedish regulations in force on animal protection matters - regulations on destination breeding, experimental animal housing and ethical pre-testing - are a solid base for controlled and adopted experimental animal use in relation to the political attitudes prevailing towards these questions in Sweden. Certain and by no means small or unsignificant groups of the population are, however, still very critical of the structure of our regulations as well as the application thereof, and of the experimental animal use on the whole. This is something that Sweden has in common with several other countries. In an international comparison, however, the situation for the experimental animals in Sweden is likely to be quite good.
瑞典现行的动物保护相关法规——关于定向繁育、实验动物饲养及伦理预测试的法规——是在瑞典对这些问题普遍持有的政治态度背景下，进行可控且适度的实验动物使用的坚实基础。然而，某些群体，而且绝不是少数或无关紧要的群体，仍然对我们法规的架构及其应用，以及对整体实验动物的使用持非常批评的态度。这是瑞典与其他几个国家共有的情况。然而，从国际比较来看，瑞典实验动物的处境可能相当不错。
