Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the psychometric properties and posited nine-factor structure of the Chinese version of the Cognitive Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (CERQ-C) in high school students and adolescents with major depressive disorder (MDD), including assessment of measurement invariance of CERQ-C and its subscales across gender, time, and presence of depression. Chinese high school students from Hunan Province ( = 1,253) and adolescents with major depressive disorder (MDD) from the Medical Psychological Institute outpatient clinic at The Second Xiangya Hospital ( = 205) were enrolled. We examined the reliability, and model fit of the CERQ-C. Multigroup confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was used to test measurement invariance of the subscales across gender, time, and presence of depression. The CERQ-C subscales showed good internal consistency and moderate reliability in high school students and excellent internal consistency in adolescents with MDD group. The nine-factor model yielded adequate fit indices in different samples. Multigroup CFA confirmed that CERQ-C is strongly equivalent across gender, time, and presence of depression. The CERQ-C is a valid, reliable, and stable instrument for the evaluation of the cognitive emotion regulation (ER) strategies for different samples, including high school students and adolescents with MDD. The horizontal and longitudinal equivalences are strongly established.

本研究旨在检验中文版认知情绪调节问卷(CERQ-C)在高中生及重度抑郁症(MDD)青少年中的心理测量特性和假定的九因素结构,包括评估CERQ-C及其子量表在性别、时间和抑郁状态方面的测量不变性。招募了来自湖南省的1253名中国高中生以及来自中南大学湘雅二医院医学心理研究所门诊的205名重度抑郁症青少年。我们检验了CERQ-C的信度和模型拟合度。采用多组验证性因素分析(CFA)来测试子量表在性别、时间和抑郁状态方面的测量不变性。CERQ-C子量表在高中生中显示出良好的内部一致性和中等信度,在MDD青少年组中具有出色的内部一致性。九因素模型在不同样本中产生了足够的拟合指数。多组CFA证实CERQ-C在性别、时间和抑郁状态方面具有强等效性。CERQ-C是一种有效、可靠且稳定的工具,可用于评估不同样本(包括高中生和MDD青少年)的认知情绪调节(ER)策略。横向和纵向等效性得到了有力确立。
